CHAPTER 6 — THE WILL
Victor's statement forced Leandro to investigate the family inheritance.
The old Rossi will was retrieved from a Swiss vault.
It contained one extraordinary condition.
The entire Rossi estate would belong to the biological daughter of Alessandro Rossi.
Not Leandro.
Not Maribel.
Not the council.
The daughter.
Estelle.
The ballroom erupted when the will was read.
Maribel sat silently.
Victor's men demanded the document be destroyed.
Leandro refused.
Then the lawyer revealed the final clause.
"If my daughter is found alive, she shall inherit not only my fortune but controlling authority over the Rossi family trust."
Estelle stared at the document.
"I don't want any of this."
Leandro took her hand.
"You don't have to become them."
"But I can stop them."
He looked at her.
That was the moment Estelle changed.
She was no longer fighting for a chair.
She was fighting for the truth.
For the child who had been erased.
For the woman her mother had died protecting.

Estelle signed the first document.
