Chapter 3 — The Livestream That Reached the World

While Grant desperately searched for whoever controlled the ballroom screens, something far bigger had already escaped the hotel.

The security footage wasn't just playing inside Bellmont Hotel.

It was being livestreamed.

Across every major social media platform.

No watermark.

No username.

No explanation.

Just one title.

"What Power Looks Like."

Within minutes the live viewer count climbed into the hundreds of thousands.

Then millions.

Comment sections exploded.

Former employees of Waverly Pacific Foods began posting anonymous stories.

Women described executive parties where promotions depended on silence.

Managers admitted financial records had been manipulated.

Suppliers revealed contracts awarded through intimidation.

Journalists in the ballroom stopped acting like guests.

They became reporters again.

Questions flew from every direction.

"Mr. Waverly, did your company conceal workplace harassment?"

"Did shareholders know about these relationships?"

"Who authorized company funds for Sabrina Hale?"

Grant refused to answer.

His attorneys rushed toward him.

Too late.

Every answer he refused to give became another headline.

Across the room, Dr. Melanie Foster gently placed a hand on my shoulder.

"You need to leave."

I nodded.

Not because I was frightened.

Because my child deserved to enter a quieter world than this one.

As hotel security escorted me toward a private elevator, I heard one reporter ask the question Grant feared most.

"Mrs. Waverly..."

"Were you the person behind the livestream?"

I simply smiled.

"No."

May you like

And it was the truth.

I had absolutely no idea who had pressed the button.
