CHAPTER 4 — A Mother's Victory

Three months later...

Evelyn walked slowly through the mansion garden with Alexander beside her.

The marble staircase had been removed.

In its place stood a wide, safe entrance with fresh white roses lining the path.

"I don't need this house," Evelyn said softly.

"I only needed my son."

Alexander lowered his head.

"I spent years building a business..."

"But I almost lost the person who built me."

He hugged his mother tightly.

Nearby, children from the newly opened Evelyn Parker Foundation laughed as they played.

The mansion that once symbolized pride had become a place of hope.

As for Victoria...

She stood alone in a prison courtyard, watching headlines celebrate the woman she had tried to destroy.

For the first time, she understood a lesson money could never buy.

Power can silence people.

Truth never stays silent forever.
