One year later.
Ashford Manor had become something entirely different.
The mansion where I had nearly died was transformed into a rehabilitation center for survivors of domestic violence.
The ballroom where Nathan ordered my punishment now hosted legal aid clinics.
The basement where he kept his secrets stored court records instead.
Justice had rewritten every room.
Nathan died in prison six months after sentencing.
