CHAPTER 2 – The Janitor Nobody Ever Noticed

Principal Harris slowly approached the stage.
"We investigated after Emily contacted us," he announced carefully.
"Unfortunately... we couldn't find enough evidence."
Jason smirked.
His friends exchanged relieved glances.
Then a voice interrupted from the back of the gym.
"That's because nobody asked me."
Every head turned.
An elderly janitor stepped forward pushing his cleaning cart.
Mr. Raymond.
The man students barely acknowledged.
The man who quietly swept the hallways before sunrise.
Jason laughed.
"You're kidding."
The janitor calmly removed a flash drive from his pocket.
"I clean every hallway after school."
"I also replace the security camera storage every Friday."
The smile disappeared from Jason's face.
Mr. Raymond handed the drive to the principal.
"What your cameras missed..."
"...mine didn't."
Within seconds, the projector switched from Emily's speech to surveillance footage.
Jason cornering Noah by the lockers.
Jason dumping Noah's lunch into a trash can.
Jason's friends filming while Noah begged them to stop.
Then another clip.
Jason creating fake social media accounts.
Editing humiliating videos.
Encouraging hundreds of students to share them.
The gym erupted.
Parents stood in disbelief.
Teachers covered their mouths.
Jason jumped to his feet.
"Those videos are edited!"
But another student stood up.
Then another.
Then another.
One after another, classmates admitted they had stayed silent because they were afraid of Jason.
Until now.
