Chapter 3: The Return of Truth

One year later.
The Lục family empire fell into crisis.
Madam Lục sat alone in the grand room, staring at an old photo of the child.
The door opened.
Lục Thiên Hạo stepped in.
He was no longer the arrogant man he once was.
He looked worn down… broken.
In his hand was an old children’s toy.
“Are you still looking for her?” Madam Lục asked.
“No,” he said softly. “I already found her.”
Madam Lục froze.
Outside the door, a woman walked in.
Minh Ha.
But she was no longer the same Minh Ha from a year ago.
She stood tall, calm, composed. Beside her was a little boy who had grown older.
Lục Thiên Hạo walked toward her.
“I’m sorry…”
Minh Ha looked at him for a long moment.
No anger.
No tears.
Only calmness.
“You don’t need to apologize anymore,” she said. “Because I am no longer the woman waiting for you to believe me.”
Madam Lục trembled.
“Minh Ha… we can start over—”
She shook her head.
“No. Some things, once lost… cannot be taken back.”
She turned around.
Took her son’s hand.
And walked out of the Lục family for the last time.
Ending
The rain stopped the moment she left.
Not because the sky cleared…
But because the storm inside her heart had finally ended.

And for the first time in years, she walked away not as a rejected daughter-in-law—
But as a woman who finally chose herself.
