Chapter 2 — The Man Who Owned Everything... Until Tonight

The roar of helicopter blades swallowed every sound inside Ravenshire Estate.

Damian frowned.

"What is this?"

No one answered.

A second later, every light inside the ballroom flickered before giant LED screens hidden behind the marble columns came to life.

Damian froze.

His own face filled the screens.

Then came his voice.

"...Move the money through the Cyprus accounts."

Another clip.

"If my wife asks questions, make sure she never sees the contracts."

Another.

"I don't care what happens to her."

The room fell silent.

Every word had been recorded.

Every crime had a timestamp.

Every lie had evidence.

Vanessa's confidence evaporated.

She rushed toward the control panel.

"Turn it off!"

Nothing happened.

The broadcast wasn't coming from the estate.

It had already been uploaded.

Across the country, every major news network interrupted its evening programming.

Blackwell Holdings' stock price collapsed before Damian could even unlock his phone.

His board of directors began resigning one after another.

Banks froze corporate accounts.

Government investigators surrounded the property.

Damian finally looked at me.

"What have you done?"

I slowly stood despite the blood running down my back.

"I told the truth."

For the first time in his life...

He realized money couldn't buy back time.

Or erase evidence.
