PART 3: THE WOMAN WHO REFUSED TO FALL

3: THE WOMAN WHO REFUSED TO FALL
Victoria had lost everything.
Her engagement.
Her reputation.
Her social status.
No charity board would touch her.
No company would hire her.
No friend wanted to be seen beside her.
Yet she blamed only one person.
Emma.
"If that child had stayed quiet," she muttered, "none of this would have happened."
Bitterness consumed her.
And bitterness soon became obsession.
One rainy afternoon, Victoria parked outside Emma's school.
Watching.
Waiting.
Planning.
But she wasn't the only one watching.
Daniel had anticipated this.
After everything he had seen on those recordings, he trusted nothing.
And no one.
The moment Victoria stepped toward the school gate, security officers approached her.
Then police arrived.
Victoria's face twisted with rage.
"You ruined my life!" she screamed.
Children stopped and stared.
Teachers gathered.
Emma froze.
For a brief moment, the old fear returned.
Then Daniel stepped forward.
He stood between Victoria and his daughter.
Just as he should have done from the beginning.
"It's over," he said.
Victoria laughed bitterly.
"You think you've won?"
Daniel looked at Emma.
"No."
He smiled softly.
"She won."
The police escorted Victoria away.
This time, there would be no second chance.
No excuses.
No sympathy.
Only consequences.
As the car disappeared down the road, Emma squeezed her father's hand.

The nightmare was finally ending.
And a new chapter was about to begin.
