Blackwood International announced its annual Global Investors Gala.
Every major shareholder attended.
Victoria arrived wearing another emerald designer gown.
Victor stood proudly beside her, convinced the company would soon belong to them.
The ballroom erupted into whispers when Ethan appeared.
Still in his wheelchair.
Still silent.
Victoria smiled confidently.
"So... you wanted one last public appearance?"
"I suppose everyone deserves a goodbye."

The chairman of the board stepped onto the stage.
"Ladies and gentlemen..."
"Before tonight's shareholder vote..."
"There is something you must see."
Massive screens descended from the ceiling.
Security footage appeared.
Victoria secretly meeting Victor.
Hidden recordings.
Forged signatures.
Bribery.
Bank transfers.
Then came the medical records.
A forensic expert addressed the audience.
"The paralysis diagnosis was fabricated."
Gasps echoed through the ballroom.
Victoria's smile disappeared.
