1. Moldy or Expired Grains

Using grains that are old, improperly stored, or slightly moldy can be extremely dangerous. These grains may contain aflatoxins, toxic substances produced by mold. Aflatoxins are known to be highly harmful to the liver and have been strongly linked to liver cancer. Even cooking at high temperatures cannot fully destroy these toxins.
